Just to give a little back round on who Hess-trucks.com is: I am a Hess truck collector myself. I started in 1994 when my son was born and did like most people did; bought one for him to play with and put one away. As years went on I tried to accumulate past years to try and gain the entire collection. What a daunting task. It turned into quite an obsession and when I accumulated about 1000 trucks in my house, my wife claimed it had to stop. I was collecting all of the other gas station trucks as well and it just snowballed out of control.
I settled on just collecting the Hess because I saw first hand the quality product they produced. It was far and away the best out there as far as I was concerned. The more I collected, the more I learned. There were trucks produced that were never sold to the public. There are folk stories about the 1995 "Chrome Helicopter", and so on.
I started this web-site because I truly enjoy collecting. I get phone calls, e-mails and letters from people who have a similar passion and enjoy the hobby as much. Sometimes people just call to tell me their stories and I enjoy hearing them as well.
